Subject Name: Business Communication
This subject consists of four competency units:

BSBCUS402B  Address customer needs
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to manage the ongoing relationship with a customer, which includes assisting the customer to articulate their needs, meeting customer needs and managing networks to ensure customer needs are addressed. The customer relationship would typically involve direct interaction a number of times over an extended period.

BSBCUS403B  Implement customer service standards
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to contribute to quality customer service standards, and to support personnel to implement customer service standards and systems within the organisation. Operators undertaking this unit would have a detailed knowledge of, and experience in, customer service systems and procedures.

BSBCMM401A   Make a presentation
This unit covers the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to prepare, deliver and review a presentation to a target audience.

BSCMM301B   Process customer complaints
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to handle formal and informal negative feedback and complaints from customers. Operators may exercise discretion and judgement using appropriate knowledge of products, customer service systems and organisational policies to provide technical advice and support to a team.

This subject consists of three competency units:

BSBINN301A Promote innovation in a team environment
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to be an effective and pro active member of an innovative team.

BSBMKG413A Promote products and services
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to coordinate and review the promotion of an organisation's products and services.

BSBMKG414B Undertake Marketing Activities
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to plan, implement and manage basic marketing and promotional activities. It is a foundation unit that covers general and basic marketing and promotional activities that do not require detailed or complex planning or implementation.

Subject Name: Business Law and Workplace Safety
This subject consists of three competency units:

BSBOHS407A Monitor a safe workplace
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to implement and monitor the organisation's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies, procedures and programs in the relevant work area to meet legislative requirements.

BSBADM409A Coordinate Business Resources
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to determine and analyse existing and required resources, their effective application and the accountability for their use.

BSBIPR403A Protect and use brands and business identity
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to protect and use brands and other business identities as trademarks. It covers identifying the need for trade mark protection, lodging a successful application, monitoring and protecting the trade mark, and using the trade mark commercially.
