Mission & Goals
The mission of Kent Institute of Business and Technology is to provide students from all backgrounds with access to high quality, higher education and vocational education courses accredited in Australia and to stimulate and encourage critical thinking on issues relevant to the student’s professional environment in a framework that fosters free, intellectual enquiry.
Goals of the Institute
The primary goals of Kent Institute of Business and Technology are to:
- advance knowledge and understanding by striving to improve the quality of Institute courses for students and the industries it serves;
- establish and maintain links with industry and professional associations, aimed at ensuring Institute courses reflect current and anticipated industry needs;
- foster and acknowledge excellence in teaching and service provision among all staff, including staff of local and offshore partners;
- adopt best practices in education, training and business from around the globe;
- stimulate and encourage critical thinking on issues relevant to the student’s professional environment in a framework that fosters free, intellectual enquiry;
- create an environment which encourages staff and students to undertake researach;
- encourage students from all backgrounds to undertake well constructed and balanced courses which enable them to further and develop their career options and opportunities to contribute to society in Australia and overseas; and,
- transform students into competent professionals with well developed learning skills, a wealth of understanding, knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours which will enable them to continue to learn and succeed in highly competitive environments.
