Since Kent Institute is one of the Registered Training Organizations with NSW Vocational Education Training Accreditation Board, certificates and diplomas issued by Kent Institute are recognised by the National Training Authority in Australia. Kent’s students are eligible to apply to any University in Australia to further their studies, and the credits applications will be treated on a case-by-case basis by the Universities.

Kent Institute also has specific articulation agreements with the following universities:

• Central Queensland University (CQU)
• Australian Catholic University (ACU)
• University of Newcastle
• La Trobe University

Australian Catholic University
KENT Institute students receive up to 80 credit points ( the equivalent of one full-time year ) for relevant VETAB accredited Advanced Diplomas and Diplomas of at least two-years full-time ( or equivalent ) duration if awarded at the Credit grade. In some cases a calculation will be made on the basis of individual student results to determine a student's eligibility for the course credit.

Credit applications for courses of less than two-years ( or equivalent ) full-time duration also will be considered on a case-by-case basis and similarly taking into account a student's grade.

University of Newcastle
Kent Institute graduates receive advanced standings to the University of Newcastle Bachelor of Applied Information Technology course.

Students can follow the pathway through Kent’s diplomas and advanced diploma courses into the Bachelor of Applied Information Technology course receiving 90 to 100 units of credit of 240 unit program.

This applies to students with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4 or a scale of 7.

The students can do the course at the University’s Newcastle or Sydney campus.
